Method #1 – How to Download YouTube Videos to the iPhone Camera Roll
In this method, we’ll show you how to download YouTube videos to your iPhone’s camera roll. This process is relatively simple and only requires a few steps.
First, you’ll need to find the video you want to download on YouTube. Once you’ve found the video, you’ll need to copy the video’s URL.
Next, you’ll need to open the Documents app (if you don’t have the Documents app, download it from App Store) and paste the URL into the search bar.
After the video has finished loading, you’ll need to tap the share button and then select “Save to Camera Roll.”
And that’s it! Now you can watch your favorite YouTube videos offline on your iPhone.
Note: Since the iOS 13 update, the Camera Roll folder on iPhones has been replaced with the Recents folder in the Albums tab of the Photos app. Even though the location has changed, this method of watching YouTube videos through the Photos app on your iPhone still works the same way.
Method #2 – Use 3rd-party Apps or Websites to Download YouTube Videos to iPhone
One of the easiest methods to download YouTube videos is to use 3rd-party apps and websites. There are so many apps available on App Store that allows this. But, these apps come and go as apple used to remove them.
What you have to do is you can use any Video Downloader that is available on App Store. Just use the search term “Video Downloader” and install a top-recommended app.

One, using an Android and iOS App. Two, using a website, and Three, using a chrome or browser extension. 3rd method is not possible on iPhone as it is a web-based-only method.
How to download YouTube videos using a 3rd-party platform?
The steps to download videos are simple. What you have to do is to use a platform that is suggested in this list and then follow these steps.
1. Find a video that you want to download and click on the “Share” button to copy the link.
2. Now, open a video downloading app and “Paste” the link that you copied. If you’re using a website (YT5S, SaveFrom Video Downloader) then copy-paste the link directly on the search bar provided on the home page of any of such websites.
3. Choose the video output quality, file location, and required permissions. Click on the download button and it will be saved to your iPhone.

Method #3 Download videos using Blackhole Splitter app
Another way to download YouTube videos to your iPhone is by using a productivity app known as Blackhole Splitter. This method is simple, you just need this app to get any video downloaded to your iPhone storage.
How To Download YouTube Videos on iPhone using the Blackhole Splitter app?
First, download the app from App Store, open the app, and allow all permissions.
Second, copy the video link of the desired video.
Last, open the blackhole splitter and it will automatically detect the copied link and will start downloading.
